File 6B: A Haunted House (Vocabulary)

I live in a big dark house near the main road. The house has ten windows and two of them overlook the garden. In the garden there is a green fountain with fish and a small swimming-pool.

On the ground floor there is a hall, a kitchen, a living room with lots of photos on the walls, a dining-room, a bathroom and a study room with hundreds of books in a giant bookcase. Upstairs, on the second floor there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a small toilet.

This house is very cold because it hasn't got central heating. And it's dirty because there are lots of spiders and dust.

Strange things happen at night ...
